Den Haag: De Mens Achter de Casus, Trailer

After a 2017 screening of Pull of Gravity in Holland, the Veiligheidshuis commissioned EL Sawyer to turn the same lens on the Dutch system. Den Haag: De Mens Achter de Casus, meaning the person behind the case, examines incarceration in the Netherlands through the perspective of someone who has lived it.

The film marks EL's first international commission and grounds his ongoing interest in how confinement is practiced, and justified, across different national systems.
